New Claims Process for Passenger Liability Claims

We are pleased to advise that with effect from from 1 April 2016, we have partnered with Santam’s Specialist Liability Unit in the administration of Passenger Liability claims covered under the Passenger Liability extension of the Motor policies.

We believe that the Specialist Liability Unit is ideally positioned to take over this function and provide the best possible service to policy holders and intermediaries.

The process for passenger liability claims registered on or before 30 March 2016

The process for passenger liability claims registered on or after 1 April 2016

Completed claim form, policy schedule and premium confirmation must be sent to and copied to, with the subject headingPASSENGER LIABILITY: NAME OF INSURED AND POLICY NUMBER” All hand delivered documents must be addressed for the attention of Sandra Fourie

The claim will then be registered by Santam’s First Notification of Loss team against the current master policy number. Once this has been done the claim will be sent to the Specialist Liability Unit for consideration. The First Notification of Loss team will reply with the claim number within the agreed time frame of 8 working hours.
